On behalf of the members and employees of Aberdovey Golf Club, we extend a warm welcome to our championship links.

To visit our splendid true links course your tee times can be booked from this website or by contacting our office from the details in the Contact Us section of the website.

Founded in 1892, Aberdovey is proudly associated with the renowned golf writer Bernard Darwin who described Aberdovey as ‘the course that his soul loves best of all the courses in the world’ – a sentiment which is upheld by many of our members and visitors today. The club is also affiliated to the Association of James Braid courses – named after the course architect who contributed to the design of the 9 holes out, 9 holes in layout of the course.

The course is bound by Cardigan Bay to the west and the Cambrian Coast railway line to the east and represents a tough Par 71 challenge off the recently rebuilt ‘Darwin’ tees at 6,777 yards.

It attracts several prestigious events, such as the Welsh Men’s Seniors’ Championship and the Welsh Amateur Championship whilst also catering for golfers of differing standards, with a choice of five ability-based tees.

There is always a warm welcome to be had in our modern club-house and excellent tuition facilities are available via the club’s Head Professional, Rob Grier, and his team, in a well-stocked Pro Shop. The club also offers Dormy accommodation on a stay-and-play basis which attracts many return visits.

We are sure you will enjoy the experience of playing our excellently maintained links course which consistently features in the Top 3 in Wales and Top 100 courses in Great Britain and Ireland.
